Those deer look like hard suckers to hit. They are moving before the arrow is anywhere near them.

Don’t think it the bow brother. On a bait pile (for me) 10 pin becomes a 20 pin, 20 pin becomes a 30 pin, and so on, Especially if the deer have been educated. Awesome footage!

by the way, when you kill the deer in your videos, what do you do to them? Do you have to gut them right then and there?

@heybrian6 Yes, gut them on the spot and then to the check station and then to freezers of family and friends… and sometimes I donate to Hunters Helping The Hungry.

Aim lower towards the heart., when they duck you still may hit the lung. Or your bow is still too loud or your taking shots from too far away, Can’t really tell any more from the video.

@tiantheree I am not doing the shooting, this is a young lady that I brought to a spot of mine trying to get her her first deer. Last I spoke to her she was going to try a crossbow that shoots 365 FPS, I think that should help her!

I hate to say it, but in the second shot, it looks like the arrow purely misses underneath the belly of the deer near the rear legs. Right at 1:19, the arrow can be seen between the camera and the deer’s mid-ribs. I believe it missed low. The third shot seems to be at a weird angle. Still, those are slow flying arrows. I’d definitely change the bow, or at least a new string and possibly a cable.

@Beastmasterrex It does not go underneath, that is the shadow of the arrow, check it out again because it goes over. She was shooting a new bow, Mission Menace!

@TheFieldArcher Well I’ll be… That’s some good high quality video that you’re taking. It’s definitely a caliber above the average and I applaud you for it. I wouldn’t have thought a shadow would show that clearly, but you’re right. And she needs a refund.

I think it is a combination of spooky deer and the bow making substantial noise at release. If you are baiting the deer, hunting further off the bait will help. When the deer are at the bait, they are really on their toes.
