Reviewing Scorpyd’s Telson 130 Crossbow

May 29th, 2011 by admin

When searching for crossbows for sale online, information is a valuable asset. That’s why we’re happy to present consumer crossbow reviews like this one made by Deerboy Productions.

The video’s maker and demonstrator noted on his YouTube post that he is “very very impressed by my new Telson 130 by Scorpyd Crossbows. This bow is screaming fast, silky smooth and whisper quiet compared to my Parker Safari Classic. At 390fps (avg of 10 shots in another test) this bow challenges Top Manufacturers for efficiency.” That’s what we call a “glowing review!”

With clear narration, we see field demonstrations of the Telson 130, showing us “how it does what it does.” He compares the Telson 130′s shot speed to another brand’s model (guess which one wins). He even compares the loudness of the two (guess which one wins).

This is a nice video, both for it’s information and high production value.

New Advanced Crossbows Earn TenPoint Bragging Rights

May 29th, 2011 by admin

The video here is from TenPoint Crossbow Technologies. They make some of the best and most popular crossbows, as you probably know, and so this video is well worth watching. It gives you, the consumer looking for crossbows for sale, more information that will help you decide what’s right for you.

TenPoint introduced their new Carbon Xtra CLS and Carbon Fusion CLS crossbows at the 2011 trade shows. TenPoint describes these two crossbows as “technologically advanced.” Both models come standard with TenPoint’s Premium Level RangeMaster Pro variable speed scope, as well some very slick cocking mechanisms.

According to TenPoint, the Carbon Xtra CLS is a “A precision-crafted, laminated wood stock version of the Carbon Fusion CLS,” that has a “classic, heirloom-quality stock and woven carbon fiber barrel.” Camo finish is available.

The Carbon Fusion CLS said to be 20 ounces lighter than TenPoint’s original Phantom CLS. That’s more than a pound of weight loss, by the way. The Carbon Fusion CLS has a woven carbon fiber barrel that TenPoint says produces “a whisper-quiet, vibration-free shot.” In addition to stealth, it’s said that the Carbon Fusion CLS delivers that shot at “a devastating 345 feet per second.”

These are very impressive crossbows, indeed.

Question on crossbows in IL?

March 20th, 2011 by admin

Crossbow Question: I want to get a crossbow and live in IL. Im not going to hunt with it just shoot targets in my backyard. Do I need to get a permit? Im just going to get a cheap one and was looking at this one.

Do you think that will be good. The reviews say that the string breaks fast and they recommend getting new one. What type would I get. Or if you can recommend a crossbow thats only about or . thanks

Archery Crossbow Answer: You do not need to get a permit to shoot a crossbow in our state. You just need to make sure you have the room, as some areas may have safety codes that could restrict you from shooting in a residential area. If you live out in a rural are then you should have no problems. If you are shooting for target practice rather than hunting and need an excellent entry-level crossbow, then the Barnett Jackal Crossbow Package would be a good choice. It’s a affordable crossbow that come with everything you need to start shooting right away.

The Barnett Jackal Crossbow Package has high energy wheels that deliver impressive arrow speed.  Here’s a short video review that goes over the details of this fine crossbow:

Barnett Jackal Video Review

This is a great starter crossbow and the string is strong so you don’t have to worry about it breaking all the time like the crossbow that you were looking at. For the price, the Jackal archery crossbow would be a good buy.

i have a question about a crossbow.?

March 13th, 2011 by admin

i was walking down the road when in the window of a closed hunting shop, there was a box in the window with a picture of a cool looking crosbow. the name was "inferno fury crossbow" i took a picture of it on my camera (so i could remember the name) and then i googled it today. it turns out, the bow is very low price (160-180$). i am not farmiliar what-so-ever with crosbows. it says its a "175 pound crosbow" does that mean that it takes 175 pounds to pull it back? because i know that my 50 pound pull bow and arrow is very leathal. so 175 pounds seem’s insane. i have read some reviews, and people seem to love this crosbow. they say it is very acurate, the red dot scope that it comes with is decent, and it is a great starter crosbow. i wanted to know if anyone has this bow, and if so, how do you like it? is it powerfull? and what can you hunt with it? thanks for all the help to anyone who answers!
